    Projector Window to Disappear

    im only using my projector as a splash page of a dvd...the button on it links to a browser page...does anyone know how i can either make the projector.exe disappear after the button is clicked? or maybe even just fall back so that the browser window will sit on top?

    Code:
    on (release)
    {
       getURL("http://www.northcode.com");
       fscommand("quit", ""); // exit projector
    }

    Do you want the installer to run (i) after the splash screen or (ii) behind the splash screen?

    If the answer is (i) then you can use the code above to launch an installer when the user ends the splash screen or you can use something like this (below) in the last frame of your splash screen.

    fscommand("exec", "installer.exe");
    fscommand("quit", "");

    If the answer is (ii) then the installer should not require any interaction from the user and you will have to use something like my TOPMOST utility (www.extendingflash.com) to make sure the splash screen always covers the installer.

    If you're starting an EXE file (projector) you don't need to use runfile and you can launch the HTML file from the projector with a simple getURL.

    Rather than have me guess what combination of MSI, EXE and HTML files you're trying to launch could you explain the sequence of files you want to appear (or run) when the CD is inserted?

    its ok ive done it thanks to........

    you my friend......

    your utilities rock....

    ive given up using advance installer v 1.7 as your runfile.exe and proxy.exe and 2desktop.exe have made it all work perfectly after numerous attempts other ways.

    first time i tried it worked great.

    i cant say how happy i am everything is starting to come together now.

    thanks enormously.....big grovelling...big licks...hehehe
