I've just discovered what a Photoshop battle is and it seems pretty interesting to me, so I'm going to give it a shot. I don't have much photoshop experience but I've got some time off coming up to devote to learning, so is any other newbie willing to give it a try? I know the rules about posting specs for the contest like image size, theme, rounds, etc., and I'll get to that when I find someone to battle. Right now I'm just wondering if there's another newb that would like to give it a go. I'll check back tomorrow to see if anyone's interested and post a serve w/rules either Thursday or Friday hopefully.
Ok, sorry it took so long to get to this. I went home from college and turns out my family erased my copy of photoshop so I spent two days looking for a new one :-/. Anywayz, here are the rules:
Image size: 640 x 480 pixels
Theme: none
Rotation Allowed
Rounds: As many as we want
Time Limit: None (Lets try to keep it within 4 days though)
And that's about it. Here's the serve, didn't get to spend more than an hour on it, but it's a start. Also the first thing I've ever really done in Photoshop. :-/ .
I can send you the psd file if you want Xizler, let me know
Sorry it took me a while to get to this, work's been really busy the last week. I didn't have much time to work on this, wanted to try something different this time...
I love variety battles This has been really interesting - I could see all sorts of styles and themes coming through - pop art, surrealism, dark art, grunge etc.
I agree with you saint Im realing feeling the differene in styles in this one but i have to say and i think cuase of how the bricks were curled up that the fantasy joint really captured my attention actually just that whole image layout choice of colors background. Reminds me of the wall. Good battle on both parts though
"What do you call a mouse's Shadow in the second moon?"
Thanks for your input guys. This was my very first battle and I tried to have fun with it. I had never really done anything with photoshop before but a new job forced me to learn and I figured this would be a fun way to do that. Saint, seriously, I love your work. I'd ask for prints to put on my wall but my gf would probably think they're a bit dark to decorate an apt. with :-p. I think I've tracked down like every piece you have posted on the net and you consistently surprise and inspire me, so your comments are always very appreciated.
I agree with Darkness too. I love how Xizler warped the bricks like that. lol unfortunately I have no idea how he actually did it, but I'll figure it out. Hopefully I'll keep getting better and eventually be able to produce some quality stuff. (Although I love a picture I did in a battle with cougrhky20 and he never replied. lol feel free to mess with it if you like Saint, I'd love to see what you come up with.)
