    Basic Beginner Scripts

I was surfing around in the tutorials for some basic beginners scripts with descriptions of what the different things do such as "( vs } or ever ;" or why function.action needs to be together.

If anyone has any links please throw them at me.

    Thanks

Short of buying some books for actionscript, open flash and look in the Reference Panel. Every possible action is listed and in most instances, it tells you what they do, how to use them and gives examples. I've learned a lot from taking some time and working through those when I get the chance. Experimenting helps.

That's the first thing I did after installing flash mx a couple years ago.

    Tutorial sites.

    1. flashkit.com
    2. kirupa.com
    3. actionscript-toolbox.com
    4. actionscript.org
    5. bit-101.com
    6. http://www.macromedia.com/devnet/mx/..._dev_fl_082403

... just to name a few...

For strictly actionscript, numbers 3 and 4 are really good.

    All the best,
