    1. you type in the size of your tank
    2. you click on a state youre going from and to
    3. you hit enter
    4. its displays the gas price you would pay

I beg for help on this, Im struggling with it, if some of you are math gurus and can whip something up on my FLA for me to study i would be soo appreciative.

You've been working on this a while - I remember your original post.

It looks like you've made some progress - I'd appreciate if you'd be more descriptive about the kinds of specific problems you're trying to solve - maybe post some of the specific code snippets that don't do what you expect.

Also, I'm curious what this project is for?

its just a little demo that Im not getting paid for or anything like that, for work. I need help with it, can you help me? What can I do in return? Its a gas calc, you type in the size of your tank and then click on the states you are going from and to, hit return and get an estimation of gas price for the size of your gas tank.

ok... I'll help a little bit, but because i dont know what code it is in... it'll be very sketchy...

First of all, lets say, 1 Liter (I am using the metric scale by the way, dont know the other one), lets say... 1 liter gets you 9 KM (just making this up)...

(Distance want to travel)/9 = How many liters needed...

if the liters needed > the tank size then you need a bigger tank.

Thats pritty much it... for the calculations of how many liters needed, then to find the cost simply do this.

How many liters needed * cost per 1 liter.

    Hopefully that helps you.

im not going to write actual code but here's my idea
    you have 3 text inputs
    1 for distance
1 for gas milage of the car
    1 for average gas prices

the three elements are related by the following equation:
    [(distance)/(gas mileage)]*(avg. price)
