feel sorry for anyone on 56k (or 512kb for that matter) nice site, but there is no way i'd wait around for that sort of download if i wasn't keen to see the eye candy. Maybe there's a 56k version too?

dash, is there no way to load all the html stuff before the .swfs kick in, I think that would look far better as the right side of the background doesn´t load untill all the flash stuff has and looks weird to me. Just my opinion.

Cant say I like the buttons or the background or any other than the header. The site just fells kinda wierd to me but I do like the header it looks really nice. As for the size I think you need to look at demographics. I dont think people that cant afford broadband will be going to this site or visiting this establishment hehe .

You know it is a great site but it is doing very little for me. I love the "after effects" effects but their use seems to be a little tiresome. When every site has some cool liquidy cloud effects in a box it severs little purpose. I would like to see a more clever and logical use for the style rather than the "look what I can do, isn't it cool" utilization.

Not bad, buttons are not at their level, overall, 3 out of 10.

But could do a better design than this.

Don't forget FL kindof started the trend of using AE effects in menus and websites.

The use of it is well respected by the desingcommunity but I personnaly would prefer the site without the effect (nice design).
Maybe use it once but have to wait every page to see that same effect again is a bit overdone.
Especially when the flash is loading in before the htmlpages do.
It kindof starts to overrule the content here.

No problem probably for this site considering it's target range but I wouldn't want to see this style used on pga.com for example.
There's place and time for everything.

But again very nice design and as always good eye for detail.

Hmm, maybe it was more popular with them, but other studios like derbauer had done video incorporated media in flash before flashlevel was even around. I think flashlevel gets away with it now (compared to derbauer which was often criticized for their filesize) because broadband is becoming more widespread.

Site is nice looking, I sorta liked that other layout posted better.

the 'hole in one' company had flashlevel, 24-7 and sixtailer do mockups for them. Not sure who got the contract but it should be a good site!

It might be good compared to any other golf site, but as for a kewl site in general im giving a 5. Flashlevel does great work, but the concept site was nice. I didnt like the buttons, and it didnt represent to business well. The concept site on the other did that immidiately.

Hell, this thread just got me aroused...

I don't mind seeing Flashlevel, 24-7 Media, and Sixtailer give bids on projects and we get to see them, and what the final outcome is. This could even be a Reality Show!

Nice work flashlevel, a little step down from what I'm use to seeing from you though, must've been the budget
