    Your opinion please

I have taken over this site and have decided to revamp it, this is only my second flash site after MANY books. It isn't complete as I am working on making all the content and pix dynamic but if ya'll can please take a look and give an opinion as well as let me know if the menu system works. For some reason I have come across 3 PC's where it didn't work in IE but worked for NS.

    Thanks for your help

    good site.
dont like how you can see through the girl at the top sometimes, and dont like how the transitions are almost directly from 2A. its pretty snazzy though other than that

Lynda books ;o) .....the only thing I took from 2A was the splash between menu changes, I fell in love with that effect and just couldn't get my mind off of it ;O)

Sorry my sarcasm didnt work, i like the 2A thingy too but dont copy it exactly , add some color to the diagnol boxes (maybe the background colors). The SoCalVibe in Red doesnt go with the rest of the colors. My approach to design is consistency by re using a set of color palette max 3 colors. The top curved doesnt match with the boxed edges and sorry one more thing the SoCalVibe text animating is kinda annoying. I love the menu try to redo some of the contents of the site BASED on the colors/fonts and box holder of the menu.
Sorry for rambling it's just that if you can imitate you are definatly one step away from making it your OWN style or an extension of that.

    SoCal, Figures

You know I havent been on FlashKit since 2003. This is the 5th site I have seen on the SiteCheck Forum so far, and the only one I can say is even semi decent. Good job, figures it would be someone from socal.

Nice site overall. I have to agree that it is way too much like 2A though. The colors and the transitions. Nothing wrong with inspiration but thats walking a fine line. Other then that the site is tite the dancing girl is very well done. I would consider changing the menu font and font color to something a little more readable. It tends to get hard to read mostly on the left side over the cityscape.

    Good Luck.

hot chick! always a bonus. overall design is very clean (nice mouseover glow) although the nav font is not as crisp as the headers in the two subBoxes. also, as soon as the background came on, i already knew it was gonna be based off of 2Advanced. but heck, looking at other sites is how i get 99.9% of my ideas too. maybe just tone it down a little bit though. thanks for sharing.
