    Hi @ll

Has anyone got any ideas about making a gradient with a solid color and transparent, whats the most effective way to do this, I tend to make most of my vectors on freehand
    Cheers all.

I dont think you can. The best advice I can give you is to fade to the backgound color.

I assume you are using Flash 5.0

You will have to use the MIXER panel and the FILL panel together to make gradients. When you select your color in in the FILL panel , your choice should be reflected in the MIXER panel. Adjust the alpha settings in the MIXER panel to get the desired effect.

    Hope that helps.

flash4 handles transparent fills also... just create a new color and set the alpha to something else than 100%... this also works with gradients, and you can get pretty crazy with em as well

i used the gradient transparency fill in a site i'm doing... http://www.flashkit.com/board/showth...threadid=58016
