A logo's supposed to be an image that distills the essence of a product or service right down to its most basic elements and communicates them effectively - like the Windows logo. Or a literal visual representation of the company - think Apple.

It's a visual shorthand for the product; something that people can take one quick look at and say, 'Ah, that's such-and-such' or 'That's made by so-and-so'. While I can see what you're trying to do here, with the jungle theme and the fruit and everything, what you've got is more of a visual longhand. It doesn't really communicate the idea quickly enough. Heck, if it wasn't for the text saying 'Jungle Juice' I wouldn't have any idea what you were trying to sell!

Can anyone tell I have a degree in Advertising & Marketing yet?

What you need is something a little 'punchier'. I'm thinking stylised text, with fruit immediately behind it, sitting on top of a 'juice splash' coloured pretty much like the background in your example (to communicate the jungle theme). But that's just my opinion and it may not count for much.

It's a good first effort, though.

No. But I don't work in Marketing - vile, dispicable profession that it is.

    Too much junk...

You've got to keep it simple, bold and contrasted... yet at the same time it must appeal to the younger crowd.

Take my quicky for example; it's fun, festive and aesthetic, yet still maintains some sense of simplicity-

why not group all the fruits together and put the company name below the fruits?

No background or anything -- keep it simple.

I agree with what people have said, and also want to recommend that each element in your design have a consistent style. You can't have somethings with outlines, and other's with no outlines and gradients. That's just my opinion.
