hope that someone can help me...
i'm having trouble printing from a movie clip within a movie level.
i have followed the Macromedia Flash tutorial loading an external .swf (the
information to be printed) into a target movie clip. However, when i make
reference to a movie level, the result is a black print-out. I'm sure its
just a question of putting the right target reference to load the external
.swf but i've hit a brick wall!
I have loaded a movie into _level02 which contains the movie clip
'print_clip'. Within 'print_clip' is an empty movie clip called 'tech_sheet'
to load the external .swf into, in this case 'tech_sheet.swf' (as to the
Macromedia tutorial).
i have set the background colour in the base movie, in _level0, to white as with the movie in _level02 and the external .swf also has a white background.
i have tried setting the load movie target to:
_level2/tech_sheet
_level2/print_clip/tech_sheet
../_level2/tech_sheet
etc..etc.. all to no avail
any ideas??
thanks in advance....

Nic,
I did a little looking and I can't help, I would contact the Mothership on this one. They have more time to look and play with things. Sorry, Regards, Bill

Macromedians 1:1
In the beginning the web was without shape and color, and the hype covered the darkness of the net. Then there was a Flash and life came to the web and vision became reality.

thanks for trying...
but have some serious head scratching i solved it.
just to let any one else know if they are interested, if you load the .swf that you want to print into the base movie and control/print it from the movie level where the print icon resides - hey presto - printing in flash from a movie level.
regards...
