First of all, take a look into your KoolMoves package:
    C:\Program Files\KoolMoves\Examples\Components\Other examples\KcDemo.fun
    Study this example.
    p.s.
Wilbert did a nice job there

You have to download examples.zip manually.
The downloading link can be founded inside of:
    C:\Program Files\KoolMoves\Examples\examples.html

You open that html document by double clicking on it then there is a link you'll have to click on to download the examples.zip

    How does it work?

    Hi,

I am new to koolmoves and am trying to update my webpage with it to display my 3d work.

I was trying to find a way to make a scroll box with thumbnail images that you could click then they would open in the main area. I was just browsing the forum to see anything similar and found this thread.

That example looks like what I need but I don't understand how it works. I see an action script is loaded but you cant see what it's doing on the movie screen in the fun file, how do you know where/how to place it? I don't understand action scripts. Is there anyone that can simplify it for me for what I want to do?
    Thanks

PS- flashpulse, are you an animation master user, your avatar looks familiar.

Go to http://www.flashpulse.com/koolsource/ then click on "Scripts" and see if that scrollbox is what you are talking about. If so, I or some one can help. Yes I am an Animation Master user and welcome to Koolmoves.

    Looks Cool

That script looks like what I want.

I just dont know how to customize it much. I have about 15 pictures 400x300 that I want to display, so I guess I'd need to create a pretty long scrolling strip. And I guess the buttons that move the scrolling thing can be placed anywhere, so that is good. I would really like the buttons/thumbnails to be in a scrolling box on the side to keep it neat, but if that's too difficult that's ok, I'll just work out some kind of layout.

Does the scrolling part have to appear the whole length of the movie or can you have it display in just a specified section. I guess I could block it out on the sides with a couple of shapes so I guess it's ok if you can't.

I'd have to work this script into the layout of my page.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks Folks

I think I know what you want. The scroll pane would work for it. Check that out in the components. If you can't figure it out, I'll make a small example for you tonight.

    scroll box

yeah, I like that scroll box in components, the kcdemo one. If I could get that working with thumbnail buttons in it then have them be able to click and then it goes to the right picture like in that example script you showed me that would be good.

The thumbnails would be about 100X75 each. About 15 of them.

I would like the scrollbars to be all grey though.

it would be good if the scroll box was 400 pixels high.

Thanks a lot for the help. I'm really new to this. I really appreciate it.

Here you go. It's an example with fun files and images. To customize it, just open pics.fun and add your pix. Also, change the buttons to your links to your pix. Save it as pics.swf, then open scrollpane.fun and customize it to your likings. Enjoy
