[HELP] Jumping in a platform game.

    I am extremely confused.

I have downloaded many flas that contain jumping, and even read a tutorial, but still... I don't get it!

Maybe I am just dumb or something, but the problem with flas and tutorials is that I can't ask them questions. I learn by inquiring, so does anyone out there who knows how to set up all the gravity and jumpingness think we could set up an IM session to help me learn?
AIM : Mr Wacko Is Me
MSN or YAHOO: Will have to specially request for me to sign on these, as I am never on them.

It would be a big help to me. I am a n00b at actionscript, and the only thing I know how to do so far is to make the symbols move in specific directions. So please help if you can. Thanks!
    Ding.

Which files have you downloaded? Any of these?

It includes basic platform engines, side scrolling engines and page-flip engines.

If so, tell us which one you are having problems with. Jumping is really a simple thing. Different people do it different ways. So pick the .fla you want your jumping like, and give us a hoot.
