Macromedia Flash Search Engine SDK 1.0

Macromedia created a SDK that will extract text and links from a SWF file. This SDK is used by certain search engines so that they can search and index Macromedia SWF files.

Does anyone know if this SDK will work on Swish SWF files

Hi cdplayeron,

Flash is a Falsh authoring tool that outputs to swf. Swish/Swishmax is also a Flash authoring tool that outputs to swf. I would think that swfs would be the same if they were authored in Flash or Swish.

So, I would hazard a guess that the Google Search engines and the SDK you mentioned should be able to index Swish made sites as well.

Perhaps others may have other thoughts as well.

Your thoughts are appreciated! I assumed that Flash SWF and Swish SWF are in fact the same, more or less. Maybe tomorrow I will get a chance to test it and provide the results.
