Do you think we've seen the best Flash can produce? Seems like site designs arent progressing, evolving or devoloping any further then what the top sites out there are now.

that's not flash. is design... the thing here is that web design, has developed enough to get touched by the rest of the design community influences.

before, web design was different to ads, print and logos because of impossibility. now that the tools permit it, it has become another discipline under the influence of global trends.

that means there's no top or limit design can reach. it only gets stopped because the grands choose some formulas and everybody follows them. the question here is.. are you able of getting this trend inffluence from you and look to design with "objective" eyes?. maybe, much of what you call bad design isn't, and it's just bad because you're comparing it with the grands.
what i'm trying to say is that imaginary top you say we may have reached it's illusive. it's the consolidated designers that put it. and it's not because the rest of design is bad, but because the GRAND PUBLIC or the MARKET believe in consolidated designers and follow their doctrines. therefore, you may think many sites are not great according to webstandards, but they are. they just don't comply with the grand-designers. that's all.


solution? become one of those world wide consolidated and change design's direction.

an easier target is to try to make other people see how they influence us - to the point they control what we think is nice or ugly.
