    site is average to me....

I dont understand why one would want to "open" the portfolio twice though...I mean already clicked it once to see it..now I need to open it again?

the imagery is just your common panoramic type... maybe even just duplicated again (tile)...for the effect.

It's one picture duplicated and mirrored a few times.
You can clearly see where he has put the pictures (not seemlessly) together.

I think you misinterpreted what I said. He was asking where he can find images like the one on that site.

Try searching the stock image sites like www.corbis.com or www.masterfiles.com under the keyword "cityscape"

But i do agree with you, the first time i saw the site i didnt know i had to press open to open the portfolio section.

not sure why anybody is stating the obvious...

you can just crop ANY photo to make it widescreen...i do it all the time. in fact, that photo is not actaully wide format. not only did they reproduce it horizontally, but the site frame masks the rest of the photo (the top and bottom).

so ruick, all i'm saying is that you don't need to find wide format photos...just crop any high-res images to suit your needs.

Ah, these boys is all swelled up. So this was earlier...getting set to trade. Then, woooaaah differences.

norberg is right on. ya take any picture ya want and crop it. and if it's for web, it doesn't even need to be that hi-res.

a great stock photo place is
    fotosearch.com
they have images from, like, 20 other photo search sites.

agreed. but hi-res images give you a better chance to get the portion of the image you want. but with a small, web-ready image you may have trouble getting widescreen format that isn't only 50 pixels tall...know what i mean?
