    export outline/stroke text very harsh

I tried exporting a piece of text with an outline from coreldraw to flash, it didn't work out very well, i tried illustrator as well, still not good.

    you can see here:
    http://www.fuguforce.com/pub/outline...-probleem2.gif

what i'm trying to do and where the flash-import fails.. the text is suddenly very harsh and crooked..
the main problem is the outline/stroke

How do you do this right?

I'd be very grateful if someone could help me out..

no, but it happens to be that my flash-drawing skills are 0-none

could you point me where i can stroke the imported objects, cuz if i just import the text (as text or curves) it renders fine..

not sure how you are importing your stuff (what format)

1.) is is a default font you used and then stroked? or what is "custom made"?

If regular font use FLASH type tool and stroke it.*

2.) Once you get your object into FLASH you will have to do one of the following: (choose the best for your situation)

    • If it is a .jpg you will need to "trace" it (bitmap trace)to get an editable object. (once traced to needs you can discard the .jpg from library) You can then take the "INK BOTTLE" from the toolbox and click where you need to apply an outline.

    • If the object you import is already a vector object (ie: editable in FLASH) then you can select the "INK BOTTLE" tool from the tool kit and click where you need to apply a stroke.

    • If the object is text (ie: from the text tool) you will need to "break apart" the text. (twice I believe..once to break the words into seperate letters, and again to break those individual letters up into editable vector objects) Once that is completed, you can select the "INK BOTTLE" tool from the tool kit and click where you need to apply a stroke.

Let me know if you have any questions..

thanks a bunch, I was already trying your last suggestion, by typing the text in flash, breaking it (twice indeed) and then using the ink bottle.. I'm not 100% pleased with the results but it is certainly way better..

I'll post a screenshot later, thanks already.

Perhaps, in illustrator, try to outline the strokes? Select your object, choose Edit>Path>Outline Stroke.
