Newbie alert - I'm sure I'm missing something really obvious but I just can't get movie clips to work. (File Attached)
I have created a movie clip - simply a square moving to the right.
I know that it works. When I press the preview button in the library window it moves.
When I drop it onto the stage and add a suitable number blank frames it doesn't work. I play the movie and the box stays still.
PLease, what am I doing wrong?
it doesnt need any frames as they are contained inside the mc ( movie clip)
if you double click on the mc then you will see inside it and be able to see the frames you created
if you "test movie" from the top menu then you will see it working
your mc will keep looping on the main stage - it only needs one frame to play in
try playing with the tutorials to get your head round it
