It looks like they use a Mask. Try that.

I assumed it was a mask and maybe a motion guide, but I couldn't get a motion guide to work on a mask. Also, how they revealed the crossing letters ('t's 'F's and 'e's) seems quite difficult to do!!

Thanks again though - I'll bash away, looks like quite a tedious process!!!
