Are my photoshop images too big for flash to work smoothly?

I am making an animation set in outerspace. I draw all my images for it in photoshop and each of them are around 454x454 pixels at 32 bits per pix (photo jpg) or bigger. My animation pauses momentarily, when a new button, or shape comes into the stage. Is it due to the sizes of my images?

Please help I am fairly new to flash

i dont thinkk so.when you load your flash animation,all your content is loading with it.
