Fireworks and Flash
Is there any way to import an animation made in Fireworks to Flash?

Convert it to a swf, then import the swf.

I'll have to remember that.
One more question, when the SWF file is imported, say I wanted to specify a motion tween that moves the imported SWF to another location. Would either frame-by-frame animation or motion tweening work?
Thanks for being so helpful,

When you import, you should get a bunch of bitmaps and the swf should show up as a graphic symbol. You can open that and add script to stop or play it. You'll probably need a stop at the beginning or the end, or it will just loop. Then you can drag that to the stage and tween it, like any other object.

hehe ,
I almost forgot that until you reminded me. I had played around with importing SWF files before but I never knew that you could do what you're talking about.
Thanks for the help,

There are limits. If you somehow have any actionscript in the swf, it won't import. Even a stop() will cause it to either give an error, just fail or import only 1 or 2 frames.
I use fireworks to import psd's, convert to swf, then import that to flash to use the layers. They come through as editible vectors.
