Pre Load Advance

i was wondering if there is a way to have an advanced preloader to load up in parts .... maybe the parts of the background images are the actual preloader to themselves...
like

he uses a preloader but the images all are preloaders of themselves in which he dynamically draws out the homepage with preloaders.
I just would love this technique it would help me out a lot for my compositions.

He has only "one" preloader for each section. The white bar that moves from left to right The pictures that you think are preloaders (which they are not) are just tweens that he did.

but is there a way to set up a movie clip as an actual preloader instead of having everything load up with that silly bar????
