Flash on TV
hello, i'd like to export a flash movie to video, and then have that converted to video tape (to run in a VCR).
What are the "gotchas" in doing this? (ie, resolution, color,...)
Can anyone point me to a knowledgebase somewhere for this kind of process?

Flash has QuickTime as an export option to save as a video ( avi for PC I guess ). Note that only animtions on the main timeline will play in the video.
Then it depends on your country. The Us have 30 fps and Europe have 25. The size is also different.
The platform is good to know also as Mac ( like I use ) mostly use quicktime and PC .avi.
You can burn it as a vcd , play it in a DVD and record to VHS or if you have the right equipment connect the VHS to your computer.

thanks. Is resolution an issue? What is the pixel resolution of a typical TV?

Neither tv sets or computer monitors has a specific resolution, and there are no options for resolution when saving a video from Flash.
Resolution is mainly for printing issues.
TV sets has special pixel dimensions on the other hand , that you have to take into account., like 720x576 in Eurpoe ( DV / PAL ).
Although if you import images to Flash they should be 72 ppi ( or dpi ) as Flash only understands 72 dpi images ( they will be resized otherwise ).
