icons...
Hi all,
I'm a bit confused. I found a ton of links on how to use the icon changing programs but, I can't seem to find the parameters of icons.
Someone told me 32 x 32. Another said 16 bits. Someone said you can use 16x16 etc...
Basically...
I have a red logo (psd) with a white background.
I also have created a projector.
I would like to take the red logo, manipulate the file in Photoshop, save it as some other file, and then change the projector's icon into this new red (and only red) one.
Can anyone give me specific parameters for making icons that I can bring into Resource Hacker or other programs?
Sincerest of Thanks,
Kirk
-p.s.- Or is it that I am not asking the right questions?

A Windows icon file typically contains several different sizes and formats, such as 48x48, 32x32, 16x16 pixels, each in 256, 16 and True-color.
Here is Microsoft's page on creating icons for XP: http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...winxpicons.asp

That's the kind of info I'm looking for! Though someone took care of my problems since writing the original post, I will definitely read this through!
Thanks so much!
