    Scrolling text

    Hello Everyone,

    It's been a while since I've been on these boards. I've been working a lot lately and had not time to play with flash. A calm has finally come. Unfortuantly I lost all my files everyone has ever given to me to use as a reference.

    I would appreciate any help for the following issue.

    Scrolling text. As you will see in the following site on the bottom left corner the text will scroll. All I did was type the text out in flash and motion it. Used another layer and did the same thing with the next text.

    What I would like to do is be able to scroll the text like you see it, but have it loaded from an outside text file. So it can be easily changed as needed without going into flash to do it.

    Thanks in advance for the help.

    You could maybe adapt this one, to read the text lines from a text file...

    The following information I pulled from the programming.

    -----------------------------------------------------
    st1 = "<b>Flash News Scroller</b>\nFlash News Scroller is a tool that allows you to design your news scroller in a few minutes and instantly see the results. ";
    st2 = "<b>Vertical Scroller</b>\nFlash News Scroller is a highly configurable vertical text scroller and vertical news ticker. Creating the news scroller will take a few minutes using the Flash News Scroller. ";
    st3 = "<b>Easily Configure</b>\nYou can easily configure the text scroller simply by changing the customizing colors, text, and dimensions by using Flash News Scroller. ";
    st4 = "<b>marioz.gr</b>\nProducts:\n<a href=\"http://www.marioz.gr\"><font color=\"#6666CC\">* Flash News Scroller</font></a>\n<a href=\"http://www.marioz.gr\"><font color=\"#6666CC\">* Flash News Scroller</font></a>\n<a href=\"http://www.marioz.gr\"><font color=\"#6666CC\">* Flash News Scroller</font></a>\n<a href=\"http://www.marioz.gr\"><font color=\"#6666CC\">* Flash News Scroller</font></a>\n";
    fu1 = "2";
    fu2 = "2";
    fu3 = "2";
    fu4 = "2";
    lk1 = "http://www.marioz.gr";
    lk2 = "http://www.marioz.gr";
    lk3 = "http://www.marioz.gr";
    lk4 = "http://www.marioz.gr";
    tg1 = "_blank";
    tg2 = "_blank";
    tg3 = "_blank";
    tg4 = "_blank";
    /kk:bnv = "1";
    /pp:inv = "2";
    prgc = "4";
    sayprg = "0";
    gelen = "2";
    giden = "1";
    /kk:vt1 = st1;
    /pp:vt2 = st2;
    /kk:vt3 = st1;
    /pp:vt4 = st2;
    gotoAndStop ("/kk:"+fu1);
    gotoAndStop ("/pp:"+fu2);
    --------------------------------------------------------

    In Which case it seems I still have to go into the program to add more.

    I know it's possible to load a file.txt from outside the program... I will do some searching around. But if anyone knows the asnwer before I do please post here.

    However, this would a great way to add links.

    Thanks
