    I think I am just brain fried, but

    I have a dynamic text box that loads up a external txt file. font is embeddded.

    I have a mask that goes over he text to give a minimal effect.

    The font shows as the mask is moving, but when the mask stops, the text diisappears....

    Any Ideas !!

    Convert your shape into a graphic symbol...
    Remove the shape tween, and make sure you have that same symbol on both Frame 1 and Frame 25, and turn this into a motion tween...

    the shape tween is causing problems masking your text...
