    Man, you can't expect Flash not to be confused if you keep using the same variables in several textfields! Corrected, in fact renamed them all in the news.swf and in the news.txt. Futhermore the news.txt file was very curiously formated, with double spaces between characters and that in html tags, would surely confuse Flash...

    I'm going to have to start charging for further corrections!

    I do have a Paypal account, although I've never used it yet!

    so how come the news text file you sent back to me has double spaces between characters?

    What are you talking about? It has some double spaces left in the actual displayed text, where it doesn't matter, but no double spaces in variables' names and/or html tags...

    no, i was talking about the text file itself. on one of the items it is shown as:

    T h i s i s i t e m n u m b e r 2

    shouldnt it be:

    This is item number 2

    just wondering

    I took the double spaces out of the variables' names and html tags, and of the first item... Didn't bother to take them out of the second item, and just left it as you had it in your original file...

    Anyways, does it now work for you or not?

    If you do add a 3rd scroller on the links, you'll have to change the variables in the same manner...
