    [problem] car game check...

    nearly finished a basic car game, as i'm still learning flash...

    however, i think i've got everything sorted...except, i have 3 invisible checkpoints in my game, but the car only seems to register 3, and hence when you cross the finish line, the timer doesnt stop!


    any ideas...?

    Do you mean 4 invisible checkpoints?

    Do you mind sharing code, otherwise it is difficult...

    Ok, I see where your problem is. In both your functions relating to the checkpoints, you are using checkPoint0 insted of checkPoint3. All you need to do is change both occerences of:
    code:
    	for (var i = 0; i<numCheckPoints; i++) {


    to
    code:
    	for (var i = 1; i<=numCheckPoints; i++) {

    the rotation of the car seems awkward.
    someon the forum said it has to be in the middle of the car. but it looks weird. the car skids as well its back seem to rotate. I guess its all about where the pivot point is.

    But good effort nonethe less.
    another thing u can add is that the turning isn't fixed as u have it. but changes on how many times u click the left and right buttons upto a max turning point

    the best turning i have seen is that Jeep game and the parallel parking game.
