Create Flash MX template

I want to create a template in Flash MX for use by the New from Template... menu. Does anyone know whether it's possible to do this by simply copying files into the appropriate folder on the local machine rather that using the Save as Template... functionaility. And, if so, whether it's possible to include a category and a description for the template aswell when using the manual method?
