So I ring home from Canada to the UK, to find out that me and my mates are being screwed over.

My mate is being sued by the BPI as 1 of 28 people in the UK for file sharing, this is due to the fact that he uses Kazaa and that people have been uploading off him, getting a £5,500 fine which comes to £140 a month for 5 years, this will basically ruin his life, this is bad, I think there would be better ways of approaching this than screwing some people hard.

I ring my Mum to find out they have the internet bill and there is £100's of calls to premium dialers, its only me and my folkes in the house, and no-one has been surfing premium rate dialer sites, check the link below.

that really sucks (for both people).

but people who use kazaa (and other file sharing software) should be aware that this can happen. the fine might be extreme, but there have been many warnings in recent months that they are going to be cracking down

i only use file sharing for getting pictures and stuff... and its great for getting free software off without using something like a cheap ass downloader accelerator, because i have slow internet, i cant just cancel the download and then restart it, but with the file sharing you can...

am i the only innocent one

I hope that some of those that produce nearly 50% of the webs traffic (bit torrent is the leader with 35% of the webs whole traffic) use it legaly.
