I'm new to 3d studio max, and what i'm trying to do is export a wireframe animated object to an Illustrator or EPS sequence, with the intention of importing the sequence into Flash. When i try to export as an Illustrator format i get the message 'no data to export', and when i export as an EPS i get a bitmapped rendering (not the required vectors).
I have tried the Vector 3d plug-in, but the results are far from satisfactory (the mesh is dramatically simplified).

It must be possible without additional plug-ins.....i just don't know how.

    Can anyone help?
    thanks.

Yeah, as far I as I know, you have to ahnd-trace it, if you don't want to use plug-ins.

Get Swift3D. simple solution if you can afford the $129 or whatever it costs.

You can export ai files if you use spines in 3d Studio Max. Other than that... handtrace, or use swift. :
