When did the advertisements become the focus of this site?

I love this site, and I just started working on updating my website. My trip back to Flashkit.com is not disappointing, just confusing with all the freakin advertisements. Please do a better job of not having the adverts get in the way of the flow of the site.

Good point! The ads are getting obtrusive.

Especially that oversized Photos.com one. Man, this is getting ridiculous.

What happened to 400x85 banners? Now its a 360x330 piece of junk that
    screws up the layout.

At first I thought it was one of those closeable DIV adds. Boy was I wrong...

Wish they'd at least get rid of those oversized ads.

We all know that this is a touchy subject but try to look at it this way, the ads keep us in business. No ads, no Flashkit.com

There are only 2 ads on the top of the forums home page. One scroll with the mouse and their out of the way

    Bad response...

Sure, we all understand the need for revenue to keep the site going.
But do they *HAVE* to be so HUGE and OBTRUSIVE?

That photos.com one is the one that is the most obtrusive ad I've ever
seen outside those stupid floating DIVs.

Can't you get them to give you a smaller one?

And now you have another HUGE one from Cloudscape. This is getting
    ridiculous...

    Heres my nice response:

In Firefox, right mouse click and 'block images from flashkit.com'.

Sweet! no more obtrusive ads - and the site looks pretty much the same

Get rid of the 360X330 ads and replace them with smaller ones.
I saw one for VS.NET and it had the exact same ad in a different
size at the top of the page, too.
