    Security Logo

    Hi,

This client of mine installs residential and corporat security systems. They requested a sheild type badge. Do you have any comments on this so far?

Words like solid, safe, reliable & strong should come to mind. The steel feel, and the locking vault-like doors should enforce this feeling.

    Thank you,

It has a midevil, dungeon kind of feel.
I guess that reflects securitiy in a way.

But imo there's far too much detail and complex gradients to make it work in the standard 'solid black on white' view.
Especially when keeping in mind it's gonna be published on printed media too.
Imagine the cost for your client to get this printed all clear on small sizes for letterhaeds, envelopes and businesscards.

aware, and agree. The client has requested something of this complexity however. A dumbed down version will be used in some situations.

Why does it say "Compay Name Here"? Is this a template logo?

The mark is still a little weak. It has a lot of mass on the lower portion which makes it feel bloated but the bolted doors add a lot. Good shadign and stuff but I would really like to see a pure b/w version.
It must be obvious day at camp stupid

Here is my first shot, but they NEED a shield. It was tuff talking them out of an actual shield, & Im talking a nasty gold plated shield. Imagine that for print!

The other version has actually already been chosen, but do you have any thoughts on this one? Also, by pure B/W do you mean, only solid black #000 on white? I design for the web, not usually print.

    Thanks for your time.

Looks good. Like it better then the first one.
Still a dropshadow and gradients but it's getting there.
I think this even looks good without shadows and gradients.

And are those lines 'soundlines' produced by an alarm? Looks like it. Good call.

Not too keen about the typography but the logo is getting there.

Yes, I liked it more too. But, as i was saying they were tuff to work with, so i designed them this one which is less abstract
    http://www.flashkit.com/board/attach...postid=3133898

And Yes, they were lines that:

    represent sound
represent sending and receiving a signal
make an "M" with the red lines
make a "W with the gray
and an "S with the large gray and large red lines whic is the Co's initials.

But, the other one was chosen. What type of type did you have in mind anyways?

    Thanks!

Good work man, I can't believe they went for the shield.
