Thread: A place to learn actionscript in depth?

  1. #1
Is there a place to learn actionscript? I have several books and have been to several websites with tutorials. All of the lessons or books I've come across are almost entirely dedicated to the drawing and animating aspect of Flash. I'm an artist by trade so I've got that down, what I need to learn is the scripting involved.

I learned all by examples and the new Flash 5 AS at the AS dictionary, at F5 help (press the f1 key).
The basics of scripting are the basics of any language (C, Pascal and so on) so you could try a book about algorythms and stuff.

I don't know how you'd define "in depth," but you can check out my interactive tutorials at the URL below...

I Suggest you buy the book "Javascript the definitive Guide" by o-reilly

It is really helpful for use on most of the commands and syntax, it teaches you all the advacned stuff too!

Note that flash as is based upon javascript
