I'd love to see remakes of these old movies using the new software that is available now. The stories themselves were prime, but the imaging of the day just couldn't do them justice. Imagine using the software that made Van Helsing used to make a new Rodan movie.

Yeah, they were all horrible, but the new movie making techniques could give those old movies new life.

Think it's already happening with LOTR's Peter Jackson doing a remake of King Kong.

If thats a success, every goddam old "man in a monster suit" movie will be redone

Think of the audience though. All the kids that saw Godzilla and Rodan when they were first released are now going into their second childhood. Seems like a guaranteed box office record maker to me.

I don't think any movie is going to be of much interest unless you already have an interest in the subject. It helps to read the books first, for me anyway.

While I'm not much into dracula or frankenstein, the Van Helsing movie was great because of the special effects. Worth watching for that alone, IMO.

The LOTR trilogy was long and tedious, almost 3 hours per movie, but I had read the books, and it was very well done. You don't want to try and watch them all at once, unless your already in a blue funk with nothing else to do. Like in the hospital or something.
