    transparency

    Hello,

    I have this .fla which uses a background picture and at a certain point in the movie I want to blur part of the picture, or change the opacity or something. Can this be done and if so, how?

    thanks in advance!

    Hi...
    Either have two seperate images ...one blurred(maybe using photoshop blur filter)....and the other sharp....have them on seperate keyframes within a movieclip that is paused on first frame with stop command(i.e. the keyframe with sharp image)....then when you want the movieclip to go to frame 2 where the blurred image resides on keyframe2 (also with a stop command)...you could put this code on a button....
    code:
    on (press) {
    myMovieclip.gotoAndStop(2);
    }

    or alternatively...you could affect the alpha of the movieclip instead....lets say you had one image within a movieclip...
    on the button you could put...
    code:
    on (press) {
    myMovieclip._alpha = 50;
    }

    I tried it, and it works, but what I wanted (if possible) is a 'gradual' blur...is there someway I can do this with a loop and a delay or something??
