    a "dust affect"

    in the beginning of this trailer...

    the text at the beginning has a "glow" or dust affect around it.
    how can i do that with flash?

    got a tutorial out there?

    Flash is amor; nada more.

    Got nothing to do with Flash really and is mostly used as video effects within video editing applications.

    You might be able to fake it a bit using the same trick I used for my Zooming Clouds Effect.

    Basically cross-dissolving & zooming different sections of the same image. The cloud images themselves where prepared in Photoshop.

    Motion will do that too and is more affordable than After Effetcs.

    yeah but don't you need the dual processor G5 for Motion? or is that just to work in real-time?


    BTW, good tute on the clouds technique. Have you tried these w/ png's and if so, any system bogging?

    the later G4 processors will do it real time but to a lesser extent before rendering is required, otherwise it's just like using Final Cut where rendering comes first before viewing.

    hey that look likes a fantasic app but at $399 way too pricey for particles alone.
