    PNG icons used in orginal format

    guys heres a weird one for ya. dunno really if its offtopic but bare with me here, cuz am kinda lost and duno who to ask for help.
    you know those PNG icons that when you get an icon pack you got the .ico and .png ...well how do i make my WinXp use PNG formated icons in their orginal format not converting them to .ico ?
    i hope it made sence hehe
    ( i know its a lame question that no graphician should ever dare of asking in order not to sound lame but to tell ya the truth i never dealt much with icons and at first it intrigued me...now it really buggs me not to know hehe)

    heh, not a lame question at all

    I dont think XP has any support for using .png files as icons. sorry.

    so no way to use pngs eh not even with some 3rd party software?

    You can use .png icons on a Mac OS X style docking tab like Mobydock. I don't use this kind of software but a lot of people on this forum (that don't have the money to buy a Mac but like the Mac interface) use this kind of software.
