    Happy New Year

    Hello Everyone!!

I have taken the fireworks demo one step further. It now has Red, Green and Blue fireworks, will explode in different places in the movie and added more javascript with comments (of course) to explain what it is that I'm trying to achieve.

To see this movie you will need to compile it (export it) as a swf file first. If you try to run it in the preview window you will get an error.

I have also included the font that I used for the 2005 just in case someone out there likes it

Modify the movie to suit your needs or use it as is.

I hope you all have a wonderful start to the new year ... well ok, not just a wonderful start but a terrific year all round!!

Say Ed, if you put your functions in the start script I believe your error would go away.

I've always put my functions there so never noticed this bug.

Then when calling function use root.functionName()

Actually just tried it and yes while it got rid of the error message the movie doesn't work.

    Ah ha!!

    Hi Bret,

Thanks for that tip. I've moved the functions now into the starting script and used the root to call the functions.

I've placed the functions at the end of the main code in the starting scripts and this seems to work ok. The movie preview is still not working but you don't get the error.

    I've attached the updated file.
