can a flash app save out an swf for the user?

I want to create a flash application that's end product is an swf file. Is there a way to make an swf or exe file that will output another swf file?

All of these views and no one can help me? Maybe my request for help is too vague? What I want to do is create an application (with flash) that people can use and then save their files out as swf files that they can use on the web.

If you're trying to generate SWF files you probably should look at Ming or the SWF File Format SDK from Macromedia. You need to apply for a license for the SDK, but it's free.

Download a copy of ZINC v2 and you can create advanced Flash Applications which can also output to SWF files (based upon Images). For more advanced SWF output, you can use a 3rd party DLL or download the Macromedia SWF SDK as Northcode suggested.
