I have a big problem. I need to find a way to convert literally THOUSANDS of Flash files (either FLA or SWF can be used as the source file) to a graphic thumbnail representation (GIF or JPG). I need a way to automate this, but if you know of a way to even go to an intermediate format, I might be able to do a two-step process to get it all the way to GIF/JPG.
So, does anyone know of an app that can batch convert from SWF/FLA to any other single-frame format? (It could simply extract frame 1 of the animation and make an image from it) A bitmap is preferred but even if it were vector, that might help.
I've thought about batch converting all the Flash files into another vector format, and then writing a Photoshop script to automate importing those vector images, rasterizing and scaling them, and saving them out. I just need a starting point. Can anyone help please? I'll be forever grateful. Thanks!!!
