Hi guys,

Yes, I think it's time for another PS battle. The rules are as follows:


800 X 600 is the preferred image size but you can do your return at a smaller size if you wish.

All returns must be made within 1 week (deadline will be extended if need be)

You must use a part of the previous image.

well, in my rush, I was quite wrong.

gesteves, understand that I'd take you on, definitely. but it seems as if flashkid105 is looking for a challenger this time.

but I'll be honest, I'm at a bit of a loss when it comes down to styles. you matched me style for style in the March Madness image. This battle seems to be based on abstracts than what I've seen you do, gesteves.

great image, realy nicely polished and it pulls of the simplicity part quite nicely.

if i had to crit it would just be about execution... seems like gausian blur+overlay is a bit heavy around the toilet seat/lid and the portal could be subdued in with a different colour or a bit less saturated... just grabs the attention away from the rest of the image a bit to much.

but thats only if i HAD to crit, and i dont... so know im just gonna shut up and enjoy the show.

Good image gesteves. I was just a tad disappointed in the text effect. I wanted to see it as part of the pavement and with the same perspective as the toilet. Just my 2 cents though.......still a clean image.

About the vortex, I didn't know exactly what color to use, and this was what I liked best (I'm color blind, so judging this sort of things is usually hard for me).

About the text, you're right, I should have tried to blend it better with the pavement (on closer inspection, there are a few cracks in the pavement that should show through the text). But I did try to match the perspective of the toilet... Maybe I should have distorted it a little more so it was more obvious.

Are you seriously color blind? If you are, man you are really talented...all your colors match perfectly on most of the images i've seen.

Partially. I have trouble telling colors apart. I always fail those tests with a bunch of dots where you're supossed to see a number. Since that test is mandatory to get a medical certificate for my driver's license, I always have to cheat

If I got the colors right on my previous volleys, it's mostly because of gut feeling, luck, and because blues are easier to tell apart for me. So I tend to stick to blues, or grayscale.

Oh, man, that reminds me I have to renew my medical certificate...
