any Idea for "edit" icons

Hi,
I have to design an edit icons or modify icons but I'm stock, I really don't have any idea.
Does anyone have any idea

create the image you want. save at as .ico. the rightclick on top of folder or file, and click on change icon.
browse for the direcotry where your .ico are and you're done.

you can use imageready or fireworks to save as .ico.

are you asking about 'how' to make icons, or do you need 'ideas' for your icon?

well, since nayades took the technical path, i'll post some ideas:

- scissors
- an eraser
- a scalpel
- a document with red marks on it
- a document with highligher marks on it

Edit icons are generaly designed by adding a pencil or a pen on the object... :c)

you can get the reference for edit buttons in any appliction...check it on photoshop tool bar :c)
