who among you has experience with :: replacing vid card fans
title says it all. I'm just finding myself on the other side of a friggin' noisy, if not stalling, video card in my G4 Cube - Cubezilla! - of all things where that's the only friggin' fan inside my Cube... and it's on the absolute hottest part.
Have any of you guys ever modded your video card or replaced the fan? It's basically the reason why I had to use the PC all day, today.
Can't have that, oh hell no...
Just asking for experience... tips... ok, maybe a few links.
Thanks in advance.

THE BEST
I've used several thermal pastes - this one is the best, hands down.

Just a few months ago I had the same problem with an Nvidia ti-4200.
I was able to find a replacement fan and heatsink from thermaltake.
I left the old heatsink on the card and just replaced the fan.
3 screws and it was done.
Quick, painless and no problems since.

I installed a Koolance water cooling block on my Radeon 9600XT...I'd be glad to help if I can.
I really enjoy forgetting. When I first come to a place, I notice all the little details. I notice the way the sky looks. The color of white paper. The way people walk. Doorknobs. Everything. Then I get used to the place and I don't notice those things anymore. So only by forgetting can I see the place again as it really is.
