    basic action script :: getURL( )

    Hi guys,

    Yes a newbie question- sorry. Im replacing the old designer on a project and at same time getting familiar with how to use action script. I want to insert getURL(abc.htm, "_self"); but dont want to disturb the other script. As simple as it is, am I starting out correctly? It retrieves a blank page and not abc.htm

    Code:
    onClipEvent(load){
    	this.label = "Services";
    	this.identity = 1;
    }
    on(release){
     getURL(abc.htm, "_self");
    _root.clicked = this.identity;
    	_parent.navItem0.prevState = this.identity;
    	if(_parent.contentPanel._currentframe > 1){
    		_parent.contentPanel.gotoAndStop(1);
    	}
    }
    onClipEvent(enterFrame){
    	if(this.hitTest(_root._xmouse, _root._ymouse, true)){
    		this.nextFrame();
    	}
    	else if (_root.active != this.identity){
    		this.prevFrame();
    	}
    	else if(_root.active == this.identity){
    		this.nextFrame();
    	}
    }
    onClipEvent(enterFrame){
    	x_vel = (xvel-_x)*0.3;
    	y_vel = (yvel-_y)*0.3;
    	setProperty ("", _x, Number(x_vel)+Number(_x));
    	setProperty ("", _y, Number(y_vel)+Number(_y));
    }

    Use the full path;

    getURL("http://www.thissite.com/abc.htm", "_self");

    All in quotes.
