Colors of Success
I am putting together a site and I want to convey success in achievment. "I just got what I REALLY ahve been working hard for..."
I was thinking about red, but not sure about what to go with it. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

I'd suggest green and gold.

Think monster.com for entrepeneurs.

I strongly suggest a Salmon/Teal combination...that screams "I Just got what I've been working hard for.....and I also vomited all over myself".....
But seriously, maybe a yellow/blue combo? The lighter side of blue and a darker yellow. I worked on a flash presentation for a large company and we used those colors to convey the same type of message.

There's so many possibilities..... It's hard to say!
I would go with a blue/gray color with maybe a khaki green or something like that...
But yet, for more fun, I'd use a blue/gray with a very bright blue or ornage for punch of color. Depends if you want to say professionnal ou creative...
Go with your gut feeling I woud say Good luck!

this is a nudist site right?
well... colour is not a definite signifier, however it does emit certain frequencies which assist is emotional associations.
red (&gold)... is seen in asian countries as a royal, 'happy' colour and would be very auspicious. however in western countries it can be seen to convey energy, violence, rage etc.
royal blue (deep blue like ultramarine)... is a standard 'corporate' colour. very bank-like and safe suggesting stability.
but personally i would suggest the primary use of a neutral colour (like grey), with the 'splash' of a strong bright secondary colour (say sky-blue).
keep the design minimalist, as success is apparent and something you dont have to shout.
cheers.

I agree, I thought of Royal Blue and Antiqe Red. Also Gold and Silver. Think of the colours in an old cinema.
