    [QUESTION]making a game trailer

    what program do i use if i want to record the gameplay of a game i am making so that i can make a game trailer? i hope you guys know what i mean...

    I think what you want to use is robodemo, its built for showing things off I'm pretty sure....(You could always just use a screen recorder(don't know what one is called), but that would be more work....)

    Actually, it's called Captivate now, check it out here ...

    i believe that does what i want but i would have to buy it...any freebies out there. i think u got the right term "screen recorder" matter fact now that i think about it i think the guys that did sylvania did what i want to do...

    If you don't mind it being recorded in .wmv format, you can use screen capture with Windows Media Encoder. I think that's still free.

    I'm not sure if you are allowed to use the 30-day trial for commerical purpoeses, but you could just use that....

    no i dont mind at all no i dont actually i want it in .wmv or any video format doesnt matterwhich one as long as i get to recorded. so wat is the name of the one u are talking about?
