    Does anyone know where I can find high quality vector images of world maps on the net? Freebies if poss.

    How detailed are we talking?

    Otherwize perhaps you should try tracing a bitmap.

    Find a bmp , jpeg, or gif import it into flash then

    Modify --> Trace Bitmap
