    preloader too fast

how can i have a preloader that has a simple , small animation ,not go by too fast with a fast connection?
in other words before whatever content loads, the animation needs to be complete.
an example of this would be a transition(with short animation) between loading swf into your main movie

    maybe

maybe you could design a small item in the main movie, which controls the end of the preloader, and is triggered by the loading of something later/larger in the movie.

maybe the preloader can loop then end only after the bulk of the movie is loaded

maybe the movie can be hidden until it has fully loaded, and the preloader can be captivating enough to want to see through to the end, an end which out lasts the slowest internet connection, and on a fast connectionwould still outlast the loading.

maybe there can be a test movie elsewhere in the page, which after it has played through stops and joins the main movie when it has loaded, ending your preloader.
