    [Beta] MineSweeper Pocket PC

    This is the second part of my Pocket PC series. Hopefully the game will work on the device, but before that, could you please check it out and see to it that there are no bugs. Thanks.

    I have updated the game and took it out of its beta state, so I am sure there are no bugs AT ALL. If there is, I will shoot myself...i um ah just kidding. . Thanks again Hasufel for all the help with the highscores and pocket pc info. I will try out the key functionality and if that doesn't work I'll stick with your pressure tapping method.

    Update: Mine Sweep

    Didnt see any bugs. And glad to see you have got highscore working

    Btw, you could mention something about SHIFT+click at the start to mark the mines (or I dont know how it will work in the final device).

    ...perhaps make it a "long pressure"... aka timepressed = getTimer(); when square is onPress and then onRelease = function () { test = timepressed - getTimer(); if (test > 0.5) { displayFlag(); }};

    Great idea! I was thinking of using some kind of double tap, but that would be too much trouble for the user. I like the idea of pressure tapping though. Thanks. So Pocket PC's don't have any keyPress capability?

    They do, but number of keys/buttons vary according to models... You have up, left, right, down for sure on all models, corresponding to current pc's up, left, right and down keycodes. You could use those for a combined "up"+"stylus hit" -for example- instead of pressure time difference check.

    I frankly don't know what keycodes are the other "buttons" of ppcs... but who cares. Let's now play mines the fastest possible ! I'll beat you, Tonypa ! argg

    You can use simple menu to let player choose between "clear" and "mark".

    Hey, well done!, was a little hard for me in the begining, but it's good.

    Try setting the useHandCursor property for all the movie clips to false - I prefer Minesweeper without the hand.

    Tonypa, I want to make this game simple to use, and using a menu will only slow down gameplay in my opinion.

    And finally, Hasufel, can I ask you a favor. I can't get the high scores to load on the Pocket PC. I tried out your bubble game and I noticed that you were able to get it to work, but how? So, I was wondering if you could please show me the code you used for the high scores or if direct me to a link. Thanks again.
