    Moving Frames

I wish to move the frames of the movie that I am using for my site to a different location. They are the first keyframes and I want to move them so that users will see different parts first. How can I accomplish this? I did the select and drag method but it left symbols in the timeframe bar that I am not sure if they are ok or not. Can you please offer some advice?

You mean you want to move everything to the right by one or more frames?

Click the layer name. The whole layer turns black. Grab and drag it to the right. Do the same for the other layers.

What happens when I drag the layer over is it reserves the frames for something. I don't understand what is happening, or wether this is bad or good. see attached screenshot of my timeline after I drag the frames from frame 1 over to frame 36. Is this ok?

That's what is supposed to happen. Now, from frame 1 to 36 are empty. You can add more content in there.
