    [disc] Who are you?

Just wanted to know a little bit about everyone here at Flashkit. If you would, would you answer these questions?
    • How old are you?
    • How many years have you been working with Flash
    • How advanced is your programming?
    • Do you make games for money or entertainment?
    • Would you be interested in working on a group project?

    I am 16.
Worked with Flash for less then a year.
I am still pretty basic in my programming skills.
I would like to make games for money, but right now I am just trying to learn.
I would like to form a team with others who would be willing to share ideas and help each other learn actionscript, meanwhile putting together games.

Alright! I hope people will post their responses to this.

    How old are you?
    18

How many years have you been working with Flash
mmmm.... let me remember, like a bit more than 3 years.

    How advanced is your programming?
It's hard to rate myself but I think like from 1 to 10 maybe an 8.4578179898901

Do you make games for money or entertainment?
entertainment but if you want to pay me it's ok.

Would you be interested in working on a group project?
Shure, I've never done it (except like 2 uncomplete games) but that would be cool.

    Who me?
    I am 17 right now.

Probably about 3 years or so working with Flash on and off.

My programming is at a decent level. Somewhere in between intermediate and expert, if that exists.

I make games for entertainment and to learn.

Sure, a group project would be fun the only problem is time.

    Keep up the learning TheLostGuru.

I'm 21. How long have I worked with flash? About 2 years, and I like to think my programming is pretty good.

I make games for my own entertainment. I'm hoping to finish my contra style action platformer shoot-em up this year. But it is a hobby so it takes time (been about a year since I started).

After I finish this game - I'ld enjoy working in a team. In fact maybe I might try and find someone to help me on it so I can get the damn thing finished.

    Who knows?

-I tried working with a group once, it didn't work out, but i'd be willing to try it again.

    - worked with flash for 2 years

    - i would say i can do 95% of things in flash as long as its not too intensive for flash

    - untill now just been for fun, but im in the process of one that im going to try and get some money from.

    - well im already in one, plus i got my GCSE's coming up, plus you already have like 10 people (if you are actually going to make a group) but i would be happy to help out with anything when i have time.

    • I'm 13

    • Been using Flash 5 since July 2001 (so nearly 4 years), got MX a coupla years afterwards.

    • I'd say I have an almost complete understanding of the ActionScript language (like 98%), but I don't always know the best way (or even any way) to achieve the results I'm looking for. I'm not too knowledgeable on the Maths and Physics front, but I learnt Trigonometry early in order to have directional aiming and stuff.

    • I usually make games for entertainment, but now my games are getting good enough to sell.

    • I'm in a collab already (just floating around - not actually doing anything in particular), and my real project is Wing Commander (check my avatar), although I'm temporarily working on a beat 'em up (which is turning out to be great).

    # How old are you?

    16

    # How many years have you been working with Flash

    1.5 - 2 years

    # How advanced is your programming?

I started flash 2.5 years ago and I would say that I am pretty advanced. I stopped using flash as much because it plain out sucks for the kind of work I want to do. I mostly do C++, C#, and assembly now.

    # Do you make games for money or entertainment?

I do it for fun. But I also have paid projects I am working on or have worked on.

    # Would you be interested in working on a group project?

I prefer working on my own most of the time because it is easy that way. I am, however, in a group with Sand858 working on a game in C#.

Kakihara, you're from kent? i met some kids from their while in snowmass this past spring vacation. british, (i'm sorry the 'english' as they more preferrably like to be called) are funny people. (they all sound like R2D2)

    anywho

    im 14

    almost 1 year

my programming? lets just say i know a lot about flash 5, but absolutely nada about flash mx or tilebased games (I HATE EM!)

definately for fun, my games pretty much aren't very good and i have maybe finished 3 of them.

why not, we are all equally stupid!

Santuria, not all english people sound like R2D2 (although i met some germans who's idea of the english was people who drank tea all the time and looked like harry potter which i most certainly do not. )

    Sooo... 14 and a bit.

    um...about a year and a half

Half decent. like vengance, I'm a bit wobbly on the maths and physics bits, but I have a good understanding of game making. Good enough to make a couple of games and write some tutorials. Which were an extension of someone elses anyway...

For fun definitly. At the moment.

Not my thing really. I like to understand how everything in my game works, and the normally means (for me anyway) i need to write all of it. Not a team player

no this guy did sound like R2, really!

(no not really, i'm just too much of a star wars fan to think that i could do the most stupid thing on earth.)

btw, a little test for the star wars fans out there:

what was luke skywalkers stormtrooper suit number when he and han and chewy and the rest of the gang (the droids) tried rescuing leah?
